Custer Avenue, east of Huron, was the scene of a pair of accidents Saturday morning. Around 9 a.m., a two-vehicle accident at 9th and Custer occurred. That accident is under investigation by the Huron Police Department. The second mishap, the aftermath of which is pictured above, took place at Custer Avenue where it intersects with 402nd Ave (21st Street). According to the Beadle County Sheriff’s Department, the lone vehicle was unable to stop at the intersection due to extremely slippery conditions and slid into the south ditch. The driver sustained minor injuries in the accident.
