REDFIELD — David Lee Ferguson, 76, of Redfield, passed away after a hard-fought battle with cancer on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at Avantara Redfield.
David’s wish was to be cremated and his family will celebrate his life at a later date with a graveside service at Grace Cemetery in Rockham, followed by lunch and fellowship.
David Lee Ferguson was born to Mac and Hazel (Miller) Ferguson on March 17, 1944 in Redfield. He graduated from Redfield High School in 1962. He attended Yankton College and received his teaching degree. He taught high school English in Sioux City, Iowa, Watertown, and Pierre before moving back to Redfield.
David is survived by one brother, Roger Ferguson; two sisters, Judy (Les) Mcneely, and his twin Diane Sattler. He is also survived by many nieces; nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; one sister-in-law; one brother-in-law; and one great-nephew.
