HURON — Dean L. Dyer, 67, of Huron, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018, at his home.
His memorial service will be 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 10, at the Kuhler Funeral Home, with his family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Kuhler Funeral Home.
Dean Lynn Dyer was born June 26, 1951, at Huron to Gerald Marion and N. Marie (Southerton) Dyer. He attended Miller area schools and graduated from Miller High School in 1970.
Throughout the years, Dean had numerous jobs, working at Pamida and Hurst Corner as a bartender. He also had his own lawn care service. Dean enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also could be found singing country music during Karaoke nights at local establishments.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammie and her husband, Rodger Lauritzen of Sun Prairie, Wisc.; grandchildren, Shauna Lauritzen, Jonathon Lauritzen, Kameron Lauritzen and William Lauritzen; sister, Jan and her husband, Ron Bertsch of Yankton; three brothers, Jim and his wife, Marilyn Dyer of Miller, Larry and his wife, Barb Dyer of Volga, and Dale and his wife, Arleen Dyer of Madison; aunt, June Reisenweber of Sioux Falls; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Marie and his grandparents.
