Deanna Rose Von Eye, 81 of Miller

MILLER — Deanna Rose Von Eye, 81 of Miller, passe away Sunday, February 25, 2018, at Weskota Manor in Wessington Springs surrounded by her children.
A Celebration of her life will be 11 a.m., Friday March 2, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Wessington Springs. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Wessington Springs. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7p.m. at the church with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Deanna was born in Sioux City, Iowa as Dixen Lee Lowry, and was adopted by Helmuth and Sarah Mettler. She graduated from Wessington Springs High School.
She was united in marriage to Leonard Von Eye Sr. November 6, 1955. The couple farmed in Buffalo County until Leonard’s death. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Church in Miller.  
She is survived by her children, Sharlene (Justin) Morgan of  Mitchell, Ron (Jackie) Von Eye of Mitchell, Loren (Nola) Von Eye of Ft. Collins, Colo., Leonard Jr. of Wessington Springs, Diane (Evan) Von Eye of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Patricia (Dennis) Lorenzen of Box Elder; daughter-in-law, Andrea (Delbert) Humphrey, of Aladdin, Wyo.; 14; 22 great-grandchildren, host of nieces and nephews, brother-in-law Johnnie Von Eye, sister-in-laws Marion Meyer, Shirley Mettler and Henrietta Doering.
She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Douglas and Allen Sr.; siblings, Glenn Hilton, Jim Meyer, Art Lowry, Walt Lowry, Ray Mettler, Dorothy Schultz, and Nellie Preston.
