HURON — Diane L. Larson, 71, of Huron, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at her home in Huron surrounded by her family.
Her memorial service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, January 7, at Welter Funeral Home in Huron. Burial will be in the Dalesburg Lutheran Cemetery in Vermillion at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday.
Diane L. Abraham was born September 15, 1947, in Hawarden, Iowa to Rolland and Ona (Johnson) Abraham. She attended school in Beresford. She graduated from Beresford High School in 1965. Diane attended Huron University graduating with her Bachelor’s degree in 1997.
Diane worked as a pharmacy technician and as a special education assistant. She was with the Huron Public School District for 25 years as a special education administrator. She enjoyed reading and working in her yard. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and will forever be their “cookie” grandma.
Diane is survived by her children, Dana (Steve) Stillman of Aberdeen, Darren (Lara) Larson and their children of Atlanta, Ga.; her beloved grandchildren, Alex, Kiya, Kirra, and Keyana; her sisters, Lynette (Dave) Nelson of Volga, Nancy (Mike) Lyle of Canton, and Laurie Filley of Cameron, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
