MILLER — Donna Widmayer, 90, of Miller, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018, at the Avera Hand County Memorial Hospital in Miller.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 26, at the First Presbyterian Church in Miller. Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery at Miller.
Donna Mae McClelland was born at Arnegard, N.D. to Vera (Hiller) and Lawrence McClelland. She attended Yankton College, where she earned a Major in English and Minor in Music. She was united in marriage to Ruben Widmayer. Music was a major part of her life. She was known for her beautiful voice. She gave vocal lessons and directed many choirs throughout her life. During the 50’s, she taught english and directed choir.
She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Nicole (Arlen) Gortmaker, Kristen (Matthew) Krieger, Stephen (Jena) Koeck, Kelly (Samuel) Felix, Lacey (Tyrel) Ellsworth, Rebekah Koeck, Colton (Damaris) Fawcett, Angela (Brandon) Krein, Josiah Fawcett, Christina Koeck; and her beloved great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben; and siblings, Laurel Poeckes, and infant brother, Donald Keith.
