WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Eldon R. Beckman, 95, of Wessington Springs passed away Saturday, August 17, 2019, at the Weskota Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the First United Methodist Church in Wessington Springs with Pastor Zach Kingery officiating.
Eldon Roy Beckman was born to William and Mary Rumbolz Beckman in Viola Township, Wessington Springs on October 26, 1923.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce, of almost 73 years; daughters, Sandy Wenzel of Mitchell, Lisa (Phillip) Edwards of Wessington Springs and Murt Wenzel; a son-in-law; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; four nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his children, Mark Eldon, Cynthia Lea; his in-laws, Glen and Myrtle Eddy; siblings, Bob (Alta), Alfred, Pearl (Percy) Newcomer; brother-in-law, Dihl Eddy, three nieces and one nephew.
