HURON — Two events are scheduled to take place this afternoon in Huron.
First, the annual State of the City Luncheon will take place at noon, as part of the Huron Kiwanis Club’s regular Thursday meeting.

RSVP to the Huron Chamber at 352-0000 if you wish to attend this event, which will highlight what is taking place in the city and what is on the table for the coming year.
After lunch, at 2 p.m., a second groundbreaking in as many weeks is planned in the Southtown Addition.
Dakotaland Federal Credit Union will host the groundbreaking at its new Administrative Building site, along Highway 37, adjacent to the new Ground Round Bar and Grill, which had its groundbreaking recently.
Today’s DFCU groundbreaking is scheduled on National Federal Credit Union Day.
