HURON — Gregory Johnson, 69, of Huron, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018, due to a motor vehicle accident.
His funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 9, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. Burial of his cremated remains will be in the Black Hills National Cemetery with military honors at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Kuhler Funeral Home with his family present during that time. A prayer service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday evening.
Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife, Claudia Johnson of Huron; seven children, Nicole Irelan of Crookston, Minn., Shannon (Fatima) Johnson of Sioux Falls, Wendilee (Joe) Solomon of Fargo, N.D., Shawn (Kelsey Vacha) Johnson of Omaha, Neb., Stephanie (Trevor) Gerrits of Huron, Gregory Shane (Sheena) Johnson of Middle Grove, N.Y., and Timothy (Alicia) Johnson of Gulf Port, Miss.; fourteen grandchildren and two more grandchildren on the way; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one uncle; six siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
