ABERDEEN — Gwendolyn Ann (Dix) Schunk, 88, of Aberdeen, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017, at Mother Joseph Manor in Aberdeen.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 18, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Turton. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Gardens at Aberdeen. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at the church in Turton followed by a Prayer Service. Family will be present beginning at 3 p.m. to accept condolences.
Gwendolyn Ann Dix was born July 15, 1929, in Conde to Joseph and Ethel (Klapperich) Dix. She was united in marriage to Robert Smith in 1947. They farmed together in the Conde area until his passing in 1976. She married Carroll Bollerslev. After his passing, she married William Schunk.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Rhonda) Smith of Greeley, Colo., Shirley Smith of Casa Grande, Ariz.; David (Ali) Smith of Mack’s Creek, Mo., Gregory (Teresa) Smith of Kent, Wash., Norman (Cindy) Smith of Conde, and Kim Smith of Pierre; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; siblings, Paul and Ferdinand Dix, Julia Torkelson, Rose Peppard, Dianne Schneider, and Yvonne Schipper.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; granddaughter, Tiffany Smith; six siblings.
