Honor a loved one and support HRMC Community Hospice

Posted

HURON — A Christmas tree aglow with lights and ornaments is on display in the main lobby of Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) throughout the holiday season.

A holiday tradition at HRMC, the Tree of Memories provides an opportunity to remember a loved one who has passed with a gift to support HRMC Community Hospice.

New this year, the names of loved ones passed will be placed on a red ornament to hang on the tree.

Donors may choose to keep the ornament, if desired.

Ornaments can be picked up between January 8-29 at the HRMC Hospice office in the Professional Arts Building at 530 Iowa Ave SE #107 Monday-Friday during business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

HRMC Foundation and HRMC Community Hospice volunteers will be present at Coborn’s on Saturday, Dec. 16, from 10: a.m. to 2 p.m. and at Runnings on Sunday, Dec. 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., to share information about the impact of HRMC Community Hospice and offer the public an opportunity to donate to have an ornament placed on the Tree of Memories.

Donations support the work of the hospice team, whose mission is to help terminally ill patients and their family members live as fully as possible, up until the end of life.

Hospice care is available to residents who live within a 40-mile radius of Huron or live in a nursing home or assisted living center located in Huron.
