HURON — Statement from Huron Luxury Cinemas:
"Last week, we were informed by an employee that they had been exposed to COVID-19.
They were not aware of the exposure until after working a shift at the Huron Luxury Cinemas on Saturday, May 23.
This employee did test positive. The manager who worked with the individual was tested as well. The manager just received results back and is negative for the coronavirus. We were closed last weekend for to-go concessions and will remain closed through next weekend (June 5-7) as a precaution.
The theatre is being extensively cleaned including using electro-static disinfectant sprays used in hospitals and nursing homes.
The individual who tested positive and the manager who tested negative are both self-quarantining as a precaution. The safety of our guests, staff and community and our efforts to help stop the spread are our utmost concern.
We look forward to opening for weekend concessions sales again on June 12. We hope to be able to re-open for movies in early July."
