This past weekend the Huron Event Center hosted a vendor fair, and local resident Katie Van Engelenhoven was there to show off her makings. Van Engelenhoven has been a special education para-professional at the Huron Middle School for two years.
She has had her business KTs Kreations for almost a year, and specializes in making unique items such as custom shirts, home decor, and more.
“I love being creative and designing different things,” said Van Engelenhoven. She added that due to Covid, it has been difficult to make her business known.
“Covid has affected many small businesses and there has been less vendor and craft fairs due to the pandemic, causing my sales to plummet drastically.”
KTs Kreations can be found on Facebook at facebook.com/KTsKreations.
The next vendor show that will be taking place will be The Ho Ho Holiday Vendor Event Saturday, Dec. 5, and Sunday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a projected 20 or more vendors attending the event.
There will also be a pulled pork sandwich and soup feed and a Christmas backdrop with “live” baby lambs for photos or Christmas cards for $5. Raffle tickets will be sold for $1/ticket and various baskets will be raffled off. This will all take place at the former Wilbrecht Electronics at 500 Second St. N.E.
