In the Dog House fundraiser set

This Coronavirus Pandemic has certainly turned the world upside down. Those at the Beadle County Humane Society are so thankful for families and the pets they are adopting!

However, in these trying times, the Beadle County Humane Society, has had to cancel their fundraiser events. Since they rely on fundraisers and donations they have been greatly challenged trying to keep their doors open and stay in operation.

Their mission of providing a safe haven for the animals in need in the community is still and will always be their first and foremost concern.

They have had to change their business protocol and operate by appointment only due to Covid-19. Staff is available to take calls Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. In this time of social distancing and the need to keep gatherings to smaller numbers, they have decided to do an “IN THE DOG HOUSE” fundraiser.

You don’t have to buy a ticket. You don’t have to dress up in your best clothes and uncomfortable shoes. You don’t have to pay a babysitter for the evening or worry about lining up all your friends to fill a table. You don’t have to rush out and have your pet groomed.

Instead ... Do stay home in your sweat pants and flip flops. Do have supper at your own table instead of standing in a food line. Do watch your favorite shows on TV until you fall asleep in your chair. Do enjoy the evening with your family and remember how wonderful it is to be all together at home! And...PLEASE do send the BCHS the money you would have spent at their regular fundraiser events.

With these funds, they will be able to continue to operate and provide services to this community and the animals in need.

The community has been amazing supporters at BCHS fundraisers and to their mission for many years and they would like to say “THANK YOU” for all you do and all you have done. They would not be here without you.

As the holidays approach, they ask you to remember the reason for the season and reach out to help homeless four-legged furry friends with a donation.

They hope and pray each one of you has a safe and healthy holiday season. Remember to be kind, pray for the ill, pray for the critical care workers, pray for our country and help your neighbors and those less fortunate.

You may call the BCHS at 352-8955 with any questions.

Checks may be made out to BCHS and sent to 5063 Dakota Ave. S., Huron, S.D. 57350 or you may call them to use your debit or credit card. You may email them at bchs@santel.net
