ZELL — Jack Francis Ehrich, 87, of Zell, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017, at the Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield.
His funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, July 7, at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Redfield. Burial will follow in the Rockham Cemetery at Rockham. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Thelen-Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Family will be present beginning at 5 p.m.
Jack was born September 23, 1929, in Redfield to John and Lillian (Beatty) Ehrich. He spent 88 years farming on the same section of land he was raised on.
He was united in marriage to June Bush February 5, 1951. He served on the school board as well as the REA, ASCS and the Rockham Farmers Elevator Board.
He is survived by his wife, June; daughters, Vicky (Arden) Sieh of Leola, and Kristine Ehrich of San Diego, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Laura Ehrich of Rockham; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; siblings: Alvin Ehrich of Ariz., Shirley Davis of Fla., Doris (Marlen) Sterud of Tenn., and Janice Brown of Iowa/Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his children, Cheryl Ehrich Hoffman, and Terry Ehrich; and his sisters, Vivian Levtzow, and Murtis Ehrich.
Thelen-Hyke Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
