REDFIELD — James Dale Becker, 92, of Redfield, passed away Friday, August 31, 2018, at the Redfield Care and Rehabilitation Center in Redfield.
His graveside service, with military honors, will be 1 p.m. (MT), Thursday, September 6, in the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield.
James Dale Becker was born June 27, 1926, in Eagan. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1944. He was injured in WWII and was honorably discharged in the fall of 1945.
He lived most of his life in Sioux Falls where he worked as a laborer before he entered the Redfield Care and Rehabilitation Center in 2004. He enjoyed watching “Matlock” and “Bonanza.”
He is survived by a son; daughter; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Grace Crabb, and Alyce Calfee.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hyke Funeral Home.
