HURON — Juanita Better, 85, of Huron, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Huron Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.
A private family service will be held as requested by Juanita.
Juanita L. Osterhoudt was born May 10, 1933 ,in Des Moines, Wash. to Del and Wally Osterhoudt. She was united in marriage to Luverne Better March 11, 1954. She was a farm wife for most of her life as well as working as a secretary for Civil Service. She also helped Luverne with his band and she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Betty Jean Flolo; nieces, Dixie Dunnick, and Vickie (Teri) Zwieg of Huron; nephews, Doug Stokes of Des Moines, Wash., and Rodney (Marsha) Dunnick of Sioux Falls; and many great nieces and nephews ;and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Luverne of 64 years in April 2018; sister, Billie Jean Stokes; brothers-in-law, Tom Flolo, and O.J. Stokes; niece, Cindy Lou Dunnick; great-nephews, Toby Huber, and Mitchell Dunnick; great-great-niece, Dacotah Kouf; and great-great nephew, Dominic Huber.
