Severe thunderstorms were spawned throughout the Heartland area Tuesday evening. On the left is a photo of a funnel cloud taken by Beadle County Emergency Manager Zach Nelson south of Tulare. Nelson said that the funnel cloud came close to touching down but did not.
Next, this semi trailer at Kenny Ferris’ place west of Huron was tipped over onto an adjacent trailer by a strong gust of wind.
Rain report from the region ranged from 1.18” at the Huron airport to more than 2” north of town.
