HURON — There is a lot going on this weekend at the S.D. State Fairgrounds, as the venue sees its most action until this year’s fair rolls around.
Today, the Wheel Jam Truck Show continues as more 18-wheelers roll into the Fair City.
Tonight, beginning at 5:30 p.m., the People’s Choice tasting will begin in the F.A.T. Friday Chili Challenge. Five dollars gets you a taste of all the offerings, then cast your vote for your favorite.
At approximately 6:30 p.m., Wheel Jam presents singer Paul Marhoefer onstage in the Wheel Jam area of the Fairgrounds.
Marheefer is opening for trucker and trucking song singer Tony Justice, also in the Wheel Jam area.
At 8 p.m., Big Jim Jam Fest featuring Booz-N-Tuna takes place in the Nordby Exhibit Hall, with a $5 ticket.
The evening wraps up with the Friday Night Rockin’ Lights Show, taking place on Machinery Row, with trucks syncing music to tracks aired on Big Jim 93.3.
