RAPID CITY — Marian L. Tenneboe, 99, of Rapid City, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Meadowbrook Care and Rehab Center in Rapid City.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 25, at the Lake Preston Lutheran Church with burial in the Lake Preston Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church and preceding the service.
Marian Lorene Berdahl was born October 3, 1917, near Lake Preston to Ed and Belle (Boe) Berdahl. She was baptized and confirmed at Lake Preston Lutheran Church, attended Baker #5 country school and graduated from Lake Preston High School in 1935.
She was united in marriage to Erling Tenneboe in 1942. They settled on a farm one mile from where she was born and resided there for over the next fifty years. They maintained a hog, cattle and grain farm operation. She excelled in culinary skills and was well known for her wonderful kringla and lefse. One of her greatest joys was her ‘raspberry patch’.
She is survived by daughters; Dianne (Roger) Petersen of DeSmet, Dorene (Myron) Hofer of Rapid City, and Janice Peterson of Seattle, Wa.: ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Doris Tenneboe of Clovis, Ca;, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Erling; daughter Debra; and brother Edward.
