WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Marie M. Milbrandt, 90, of Wessington Springs, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at the Weskota Manor Avera.
Her memorial service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday July 12, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Wessington Springs. Inurnment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Memorial visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Marie Fritz was born November 25, 1926, in Huron, to Earnest and Esther Fritz. She attended Huron High School graduating in 1945. She went on to laboratory technician school in Minneapolis, Minn. graduating in 1947.
She was united in marriage to Lawrence (Larry) Milbrandt April 30, 1953. She worked for Memorial Hospital and was one of the first employees when the hospital opened. She also worked as the lab technician and receptionist for Dr. Terrance McManus and Dr. Roscoe Dean for many years until her retirement.
She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her two sons, Neil (Luetta) Milbrandt of Carrollton, Texas, and Brian (Sue) Milbrandt of Twin Falls, Idaho; four grandchildren, Christina Branch, Phillip Milbrandt, James Milbrandt, and Kathryn Dean; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and brother.
