HIGHMORE — Marilyn Rinehart, 90, of Highmore, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Highmore Health in Highmore.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 2, at the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Highmore. Burial will be in the Highmore Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Monday with a 4 p.m. prayer service, all at Luze Funeral Home in Highmore.
Marilyn Ann Rinehart was born August 27, 1927, in Seneca to Otto and Grace (Roseland) Hagenlock. She graduated from Seneca High School in 1945. She majored in education at Aberdeen College and taught at Baldwin country school.
She was united in marriage to Harold Rinehart November 3, 1948. In 1950, they purchased the McNamara Ranch in N.W. Hyde County. She taught Sunday school and was a 4-H leader. The couple established Pompadour Hills Ranch which is now a third-generation family owned ranch. She helped to start and organize the State and National Jr. Limousin Association.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Rinehart, Deborah Rinehart, Brady (Wendi) Rinehart, and David (Maria Beth) Rinehart; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her husband; sister, Elaine (Hagenlock) Hardie; and son-in-law, Richard Harter.
Luze Funeral Home of Highmore has been entrusted with Marilyn’s arrangements.
