HURON — Marion F. Cain, 84 of Huron,  passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at the SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron.
His funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, August 26, at the Mt. Olivet Church in Huron with burial in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron or one hour prior to the service at the church.
Marion F. Cain was born October 26, 1932, in Indianapolis, Ind. to Oliver and Nellie (Lakin) Cain. He attended the Minnesota Bible College in Minneapolis, graduating in 1954. He was united in marriage to Joan Hazeltine June 11, 1953. Together they had ministries in numerous areas including Huron.
He was a member of the Huron Christian Church, serving as minister. He was the maintenance supervisor at the Huron Nursing Home, Mills Property Management and Courtyard Apartments. He was president of the Huron Bowling Association, served as a volunteer fireman, a Boy Scout leader, and had coached little league.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; children, John (Peggy) Cain of Huron, Ann (Steven) Boyd of Huron, and Sarah Gruenhagen of Hamburg, Minn.; eight grandchildren: eight great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Jean (Chris) Hansen of Peoria, Ariz., and Lorraine Hazeltine of Loves Park, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
 He was preceded in death by his two brothers; two sisters; and two sons-in-law.
