REDFIELD — Maxine Corrine Steffen, 79, of Redfield, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at the Redfield Community Memorial Hospital.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 29, at the Redfield Wesleyan Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery at Redfield. Lunch and fellowship will take place at the church after the committal service. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield.
Maxine Corrine Corum was born October 28, 1938, in Webster to Claude and Grace (Goode) Corum. She enjoyed spending time with her family, who were very important to her. She was known as “Grandma Max” or “Mom” to many. She will be remembered for her many years of daycare service and taking anyone in who needed a place to be!
She is survived by her children, Mick Steffen (Suzie Evans), and Monica (Jeff) Porter both of Redfield; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Beverly (Gary) Golden of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Glen (Betty) Corum of Forest Lake, Minn; and special family members: Audrey Robinson, Stacy Sobbing and her daughter, Jacy, of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maynard Steffen; and her son, Mark Steffen.
