WATERTOWN — Myron “Dutch” Edleman, 74, of Watertown, passed away at home Friday, April 27, 2018, from an apparent heart attack.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, May 4, at the First United Methodist Church in Watertown. Burial will follow in the Edleman Family Cemetery northeast of Willow Lake. Visitation with family present, will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the church, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Myron Lee “Dutch” Edleman was born August 26, 1943, in Watertown to Elmer and Ruth (Neuberger) Edleman. He graduated from Willow Lake High School in 1961, and accepted a football scholarship to Kansas State University. He was united in marriage to Jean Brower September 6, 1963, and became partners with his father in the Edleman Ranch.
He served on many boards over the years, and was a member of the Willow Lake Presbyterian Church and Gideon’s International.
He was united in marriage to Ann Cavanaugh in 1992. The couple lived for the past 26 years on the shores of Lake Kampeska.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; children, Marshall (Carolyn) Edleman of Willow Lake, Maria (Phil) Barrios of El Paso, Texas, and Jason (Ann) Edleman of Huron; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, June (Huon) Newburg of New Ulm, Minn.; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; his parents; sister, Janice Spieker; and great-grandson, Liam Travis Arnold.
