Ormalyn Boetel, 97, of Yale

YALE — Ormalyn Boetel, 97, of Yale, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 29, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Huron with burial to follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens. Visitation with the family present will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Welter Funeral Home or one hour prior to the service. A prayer service will be 6:30 p.m. Monday evening.
Ormalyn Neva Oleson was born March 14, 1921, in Yale to Oscar and Gladys (Tolman) Oleson. She graduated from Tulare High School in 1939, and was united in marriage to Gerhard Boetel May 22, 1941. She was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran in Huron. She worked as a cook at the Yale School and part time at the Yale Café.
She is survived by her children, Benny (Judy) of Cavour, Raymond of Rapid City, Kenneth (Beckie) of Rapid City, Deanna Lovett of Sioux Falls, Merolyn (Warren) Olsen of Viborg, Marlene (Garry) Olmstead of Iroquois, and Maureen (Dennis) Decker of Yale; 21 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Quentin Oleson of Sioux Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband; infant twin sisters; and grandchildren, Berry and Sherry Boetel.
