WOONSOCKET — Randall “Randy” Baysinger, 59, of Woonsocket, passed away suddenly Friday April 28, 2017, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 2, at St. Wilfird’s Catholic Church in Woonsocket. Burial will be in the Eventide Cemetery with military rites by the Woonsocket American Legion. Visitation will be Monday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Basham Funeral Home in Woonsocket and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Randy was born June 7, 1957, in Mitchell to Dan and Lila Baysinger. He attended school in Woonsocket. After school, he helped with the family watermelon business before to moving to the Spearfish area where he was united in marriage to Rochelle Deuschle.
In 1988, he moved back to the Baysinger farm where he started working the melon fields again with his family. Hunting and fishing were his passion especially with his children and grandchildren.
On July 2, 2016, Randy married Cristina Mallar Silvertree. They made their home on the farm.
He is survived by his wife, Cristina; his children, Alecia (Robbie) Schley of Alpena, and Shiloh (Brandi) Baysinger of Bison; three grandchildren; siblings, Lynell (Pat) Mentele of Woonsocket, Lawrence (Mary Ann) Baysinger of Rapid City, Jerry (Carol) Baysinger of Gillette, Wyo., and Sandy (Dennis) Beckman of Wessington Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
