HURON — Thespians will take the stage - literally - today at Huron High School, as the Class “B” Region IV One-Act play contest will take place at the Huron High School Auditorium.
The contest is free to the public. No photography or video recording is allowed and no admittance is permitted during performance.
Eight high schools will start with an empty stage, construct whatever set they have deemed necessary, present their selected play and strike the set within 45 minutes, and will receive scores from a panel of judges, with a ticket to the state one-act play festival in Brandon on Feb. 1, going to the schools with the two highest scores.
Here is the lineup for today’s contest:
9 a.m. - Howard High School — “13 Ways to Screw up your College Interview,” by Ian McWethy, directed by Amy Podhradsky and featuring a cast of nine and a two-person crew.
