CORSICA — Reva LaVonn Schlomer, 88, of Corsica, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Center in Corsica.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, April 6, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Woonsocket. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Eventide Cemetery at Woonsocket.
Reva was born April 19, 1929, in Woonsocket to Roelf and Jessie (Moore) Schlomer. She graduated from Woonsocket High School in 1947. She then received her RN degree from Methodist State Hospital and Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell. She worked for numerous hospitals including Methodist Hospital in Mitchell, Rapid City Medical Center, and Sioux Valley Hospital. She then worked for a visiting nursing service and as a school nurse in Phoenix, Ariz.
She spent every holiday possible home in Woonsocket. She loved to take pictures, paint china, take care of her roses, sing in the Sweet Adelines, and travel.
She is survived by two nieces, Susan (Roy) Buchholz and their children, Heather (Kenny) Crawford and Casey (Tanya) Buchholz;
and Sandy (Mike) Tuschen and their children, Aaron (Emily) Tuschen and Amber (Taylor) Blom; and ten great-great-nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Schlomer; and sister-in-law, Milda Schlomer.
