HURON — The Tuesday report from the South Dakota Department of Health (DOH) contained numbers from the entire holiday weekend, meaning the numbers were significant across the state, finishing off November with a bang.
The state added 1,341 new positive cases, six new deaths, and 1,810 new recovered cases in Monday’s DOH report. This dropped the active cases reported in the state to 6,778.
Beadle County reported five new positive cases as well as 25 new recovered cases, significantly dropping the active cases in the county to 81.
The Heartland Region added 31 new positive cases, one new death, and 46 new recovered cases across the seven counties in the region in Monday’s report. The death was reported in Hand County, the county’s seventh of the pandemic.
The Heartland finished the month reporting 186 active virus cases.
