HURON — The Huron Municipal Band is alive and ready to begin the summer season in the Campbell Park band shell.
The band, under the baton of Dr. Frank Palleria, will have its first performance of the season on Thursday, June 15, in the band shell, as part of the Family Night in the Park activities.
Thanks to grants from the City of Huron and the Wheeler Family Foundation, the musicians in the band will receive a stipend for each rehearsal and each performance on its eight-week performance schedule.
Rehearsals will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings, at the Congregational Church, beginning June 14.
Performances in Campbell Park will take place on Thursdays, usually around 7:30 p.m.. There is room for more players. If you would like to perform with the band, make plans to be at the first rehearsal at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, at the Congregational Church.
