HURON — We Found Sound, the 62-person youth show choir, including members from Huron, Wolsey and Iroquois, will present its 14th annual Christmas show, titled "Holiday Road," Dec. 2 and 3, and invites everyone to join them for the trip.
The choir, under the direction of Katie Scheibe and Kristi Kattner, will present shows at 2 and 5 p.m., both Saturday, Dec. 2 and Sunday, Dec. 3, in the Huron Fine Arts Center Theatre, at 9th and Ohio. Advance tickets ($6) are available at American Bank & Trust as well as all locations of Farmers and Merchants Bank until 4 p.m. on Friday. Tickets will also be available at the door for each show, for $8.
We Found Sound grew from humble beginnings that began with a passion of working with youth and a love of music. Scheibe and Kattner are two friends who believed that Huron needed a community show choir and refused to give up their dream.
"We have 12 regular rehearsals to prepare for our show," Schiebe said, adding. "The kids all work very hard learning our choreography as well as the words to their songs."
We Found Sound is made up of two groups - the Minors are choir members on the third through seventh grades - while Majors are those in the eighth grade and older.
