Terry and Nancy Schiltz established their family fund with a gift of $100,000.00 to the Huron Community Foundation. “We really feel this is a good way to give back to the community and help non profits with their projects,” said Nancy.
After they sold the final portion of their AgSense business, they wanted to find a meaningful conduit to help others in the community and the foundation fit that purpose. Terry and Nancy have two children, Walker a recent HHS graduate and Brooke who is a senior this year.
Applications for HCF grants are accepted Feb. 15 through March 15 each year. The HCF Grant application is available on the foundation website or from the Huron Chamber and Visitors office at 1725 Dakota Ave. S.
