SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Thomas R. Hafner, 86, of South Hutchinson, Kan., and formerly of Alpena, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020, at his home.
His funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Huron.
Visitation with his family present, will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Welter Funeral Home; or one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday morning.
Thomas Raymond Hafner was born on Dec. 31, 1933.
He married Florence Stauffer Lee on Nov. 3, 1995.
He is survived by his wife, Florence; stepsons, Robert (Stacy) Lee, and William Lee; brother, Jacob Hafner; sisters, Marilyn (Vernal) Hanson, and Linda (Gary) Evensen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Loretta (Dwayne) Petersen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Calvary Church, Virgil United Methodist Church, or Feeding South Dakota.
