Vincent G. Weinzetl, 85, of Huron

HURON — Vincent G. Weinzetl, 85, of Huron, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Huron Regional Medical Center.
His funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, June 9, at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron. Interment with military honors by the U.S. Navy and VFW Post #628 of Sioux Falls will follow at 3 p.m. at the St. Michael Cemetery in Sioux Falls. Visitation with the family present will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday,  at the Welter Funeral Home or visitation one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday.
Vincent was born on the family farm June 26, 1931, in Currie, Minn. to George and Alvina (Surprenant). On an eighth grade education, Vincent worked his way to plant manager of multiple dairies including Lakeside, Terrace Park, and retired from Gillette Dairy. Vincent honorably served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting geese, pheasants, gophers, fishing, and enjoyed snaring gophers with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by daughters, Linda Weinzetl, Barb (Mike) Feenstra, Karen (Brian) Rand, and Jennifer (Tom) Card; son Michael (Donna) Weinzetl; grandchildren, Tony (Amy) May, Sarah May (fiance Chris Trowbridge), Nikie (Brent) LaFortune, Adam (Erin) McFarlane, Holly McFarlane, Chad Almond (Lezlie Holmes), Lindsey (Alan) Abrams, Cory Rand, Desiree Rand (fiance Dustin Grovenberg), Chelsea Ford, Joseph (Megan) Weinzetl, Rosemary (Chris) Peck, Murphi Weinzetl, Jeremy Card (Helen Linares) and Tyler Card; great-grandchildren, Caleb Arnold, Paige and Paityn May, Lilly May, Gabe Skonseng, Logan, Londyn, and Liam LaFortune, Allen Almond, Tishan, Bryce Franklin, and Tristan Abrams, Zander Wolff, Waylon, June, William, and Preslee Grovenberg, Jace and McKenna Weinzetl, and baby Peck on the way; great-great-grandchild Masyn Rose Bales; sisters, Marge Fonder, Therese Dardis, Fidelis Shea, and Dolores (Norbert) Dardis.
 Vincent was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Rosemary (Reiter); second wife Marjorie Dunnick; parents, Alvina and George;, and siblings, Gerald, Wally, John, Agnes, and Larry.
