CLARKâ— Vivian I. Bruns, 92, of Clark, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018, at Clark Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 10, at the Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ in Clark. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Furness Funeral Home in Clark, and one hour prior to the the service at the Church. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Clark.
Vivian I. Nelsen was born October 14, 1925, near Carpenter to Fred and Blanche (Fountain) Nelsen. She graduated from Iroquois High School in 1944, and was united in marriage to William “Bill” Bruns February 6, 1945. While he was in the Army, she lived in Huron working for Mary’s Café. In Clark, she worked for area potato farmers, the M & M Café, the Clark Bakery, and then as cook at Clark Lanes for 34 years.
She is survived by her children, Karen (David) Hink, and Sandra Murphy all of Clark, Lynette (Melvin) Williamson of Doland, and William (Sandy) Bruns of Renner; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and sisters, Wanda Hart of Wash., and Helen Larson of Huron.
She was preceded in death by her husband; granddaughter, Cheryl, son-in-law, Donald Murphy; siblings, Wendell, Robert, Lloyd, Betty Wildfang, and Carol Maxine Nelsen.
Funeral arrangements are announced by the Furness Funeral Home at Clark.
