Cold delays conference tourney opening to Monday

WOLSEY — The opening round of the 281 Conference Boys’ Basketball Tournament, which was scheduled for today in Wolsey, has been postponed until Monday.
Top-seeded Wessington Springs will play No. 8 Sunshine Bible Academy at 1 p.m., followed by No. 4 James Valley Christian vs. No. 5 Highmore-Harrold at 2:30 p.m., second-seeded Wolsey-Wessington against No. 7 Iroquois/Lake Preston at 4 p.m., and third-seeded Sanborn Central/Woonsocket against No. 6 Hitchcock-Tulare at 5:30 p.m.
The semifinals will be held at 5 and 8 p.m. Tuesday in Wolsey, while the consolation semifinals will be held at 5 and 8 p.m., in the JVC gym in Huron.
The final round is slated for Thursday at Huron Arena. The seventh-place game is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., with the consolation title game at 1:30 p.m.; the third-place game at 4:30 p.m.; and the championship game at 7:30 p.m.
