HURON — A pair of James Valley Christian juniors have been named to the first team of the All-281 Conference girls’ basketball team.
Representing the Lady Vikings, who are coming off a seventh-place finished in the Class B State Tournament, are Kaylie Robinson and Alexa Goertz.
Also named to the first team were senior Avery Orth of Wessington Springs, sophomore Liz Boschee of Sanborn Central/Woonsocket and junior Adison Moore of Iroquois/Lake Preston.
Selected to the second team were junior Katelyn Schroeder of Hitchcock-Tulare, senior Payton Kemnitz of Wolsey-Wessington, senior Carissa Scheel of Wessington Springs, eighth-grader Jada Baloun of Highmore-Harrold and senior Alyssa Grohs of Wessington Springs.
Making the third team were sophomore Hadlee Holt of Iroquois/Lake Preston, sophomore Cambree Hoekman of Hitchcock-Tulare, senior Kamryn Ochsner of Sanborn Central/Woonsocket, senior Kendall Cermak of Highmore-Harrold and freshman Addison Bartholow of James Valley Christian.
Honorable mention went to senior Lainey Uttecht of Wolsey-Wessington, senior Jaycee Baruth of Sanborn Central/Woonsocket, senior Kennadie Ochsner of Sanborn Central/Woonsocket, sophomore Autumn Fallis of Highmore-Harrold and senior Rhayonna Hood of James Valley Christian.
