De Smet 50, Wolsey-Wessington 44
WOLSEY — After a 12-2 run in the second quarter, De Smet held on for a 50-44 victory against Wolsey-Wessington on Monday.
The Lady Bulldogs led 20-12 at the half and 37-29 heading into the fourth quarter.
Hazel Luethmers had 14 points to lead De Smet, which is now 1-1. Megan Dylla also reached double figures with 11 points, while Alyssa Asleson had eight points.
Ivey Schoenfelder grabbed four rebounds for the Lady Bulldogs.
Payton Kemnitz had 14 points to lead Wolsey-Wessington, while Shae Uttecht and Lainey Uttecht had 10 and nine points, respectively.
Kendal Uttecht grabbed a team-high eight rebounds for the Lady Warbirds (0-2).
De Smet hosts Estelline/Hendricks on Thursday. Wolsey-Wessington hosts Faulkton Area on Dec. 19.

Arlington 52, Iroquois/Lake Preston 47
Jolyssa Steffensen had 16 points to lead three players in double figures for the Cardinals. Addalyn Steffensen had 11 points, while Jaelyn Huntimer had 10 points.
Adison Moore finished with a game-high 21 points for Iroquois/Lake Preston. Hadlee Holt added 13 points and had 17 rebounds.
Moore also had five assists for the Sharks, who are now 1-1.
