Fishing for Families creators Jen and Ryan Block spoke to the Huron Kiwanis on how their passion of foster children and fishing created Fishing for Families. The Blocks are planning the organization’s fifth fishing excursion on Saturday, July 27, at Lake Thompson.

The fishing event is for foster kids and their foster families. Those eligible to participate in this event can currently be in foster care or previously in foster care, and children who have been adopted out of foster care are eligible as well.

The program is a 501C3. If you are a foster family and would like to participate or you would like to donate to the worth cause, please reach out to Jen and Ryan at fishingforfamiliessd@gmail.com.
