Tigers soccer remains undefeated with win over Aberdeen

ABERDEEN – The Huron Tigers soccer team continued their winning ways with a 1-0 victory over the Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles Tuesday night in Aberdeen.
Moo Gay scored the only goal of the game on a penalty kick in the 77th minute to allow Huron to move to 4-0-1 on the year.
Alex Bautista Rosales made nine saves in pitching a shutout for the Tigers.
Coach Leah Branaugh was impressed by her whole team’s effort.
“The boys played hard for 80 minutes. They were impressive,” Branaugh raved. “We had great ball possession and our midfielders did a great job moving the ball and finding each other.”
In junior varsity action, Huron used goals by Aung Myit and Matthew Thin to pull out a 2-1 victory over Aberdeen.
Micah Larson made six saves for Huron.
Mister Min and Yo Yo each assisted on a goal for the Tigers.
The Tigers are off for the week before hosting Brookings Tuesday at Tiger Stadium.
