To the Editor:
Oh the Places You’ll Go in 4-H! That was the theme for our county’s Achievement Days and it is definitely a true statement.

With almost 70 project areas to choose from, kids of all ages can definitely find an area that they would like to be involved in. From ‘A’ rt to ‘Z’ucchini growing and everything in between, 4H covers just about any topic that anyone might be interested in.

Raising chicks to show at the fair, crafting and photography are some of my favorites. Besides the project areas, there are lots of other activities and events.

Our club is very involved in community service. My personal favorite this year was picking up trash in the ditches along two miles of Highwy 14 and finding some interesting car and truck parts.

I’m encouraging other kids of all ages to join us in having fun and learning at the same time. This is Nationall 4H week, the start of our new 4H year and the perfect time to talk to John or Jane at the 4H office to join one of the several clubs available in Beadle County.
