MILLER — After rain robbed racing fans of the season opener over the Memorial Day weekend, action returned with a full field of cars on hand June 1 at Miller Central Speedway.

Huron’s Cole Searing claimed the WISSOTA late model feature race, beating Aberdeen’s Josh Skorczewski to the checkered flag. Searing also took a checkered flag in the first heat race, wiht Skorczewski taking the other heat race.

In the WISSOTA midwest modified, it was a family affair at the finish line, as Lane Johnson snuck past dirt-track legend - and father - Lorin Johnson to take the feature, with Luke Johnson taking third.
WMM heat winners included Jayme Peterson of Highmore and Searing.

Nathan Grehl of Hitchcock earned the win in the WISSOTA super stock division, with Stewart Schipke of Aberdeen taking second place. Miller’s Brad Kopecky and Schipke took heat race wins.

A huge field of WISSOTA street stock cars was on hand, with 18 drivers taking the green flag in the feature, which was won by Broc Stout of Winner, as he outlasted Maria Broksieck of Goodwin for the win.

Heat race winners include Jayden Bogh of Huron, Broksieck and Stout.
Mike Stearns of Aberdeen won the WISSOTA modified feature, and Dylan Zabel of Selby won the only heat race in the division.

Miller driver Chris Asmus won the Pump-n-Pack pure stocks feature, while Brian Hoing claiming the heat race.

Racing action returns to Miller on Saturday, June 15 with all classes running on the oval south of Miller.
