WATERTOWN Using a scorecard playoff, Watertown emerged with the team title over Mitchell on Tuesday during the Watertown Invitational at Cattail Crossing Golf Course.
The Arrows and the Kernels both finished with scores of 293.
Pierre was third in the 15-team event with a 297. Rounding out the top five were Harrisburg at 300 and Brandon Valley at 306.
Huron participated in the event, but didnt field enough golfers to qualify for a team score.
Charlie Swift of Harrisburg earned the medalist honors with a 68.
Kaden Rylance of Watertown and Cole Jansen of Rapid City Stevens carded 69s, but Rylance earned the second spot in a scorecard playoff.
Finn Anderson of Aberdeen also used a scorecard playoff to secure the fourth spot over Nick Bothun of Pierre, with both golfers turning in scores of 71.
Jack Bales was the top golfer for Huron with a 98 to finish 82nd.
Emrick DeDeyne and Ben Kleinsasser finished at 106 and 109, respectively, for the Tigers.
Huron will travel to Aberdeen for the Eastern South Dakota Conference Tournament on Monday.
