Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central 62, Miller/Highmore-Harrold 20
WESSINGTON SPRINGS The fourth-ranked Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central Blackhawks rolled over the Miller/Highmore-Harrold Rustlers 62-20 in a Heartland matchup Friday in Wessington Springs.

Grant Edwards scored four touchdowns for the Blackhawks, who move to 5-1. Edwards scored on a 56-yard TD run and returned two kickoffs for touchdowns. He also returned an interception 97 yards for a touchdown.

Holden Havlik completed 4 of 12 passes for 101 yards and a score while rushing four times for 107 yards and three touchdowns. Welsey Molnar ran twice for 49 yards and one touchdown while Tyson Eddy carried six times for 53 yards.

Ryder Michalek grabbed two passes for 72 yards and a touchdown while breaking up three passes and making an interception on defense.

No individual statistics were available for the Rustlers, who fall to 1-5.

Miller/Highmore-Harrold will host Mount Vernon/Plankinton Friday, and the Blackhawks will host Chamberlain.

Wolsey-Wessington 38, Bon Homme 14
WOLSEY The Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds, ranked fourth in Class 9A, jumped out early and held on for a 38-14 victory over the Bon Homme Cavaliers Friday in Wolsey.

The Warbirds rolled up 360 yards of offense to move to 6-0, led by quarterback Caleb Richmond, who completed 9 of 16 passes for 128 yards and three scores. He also ran for 114 yards and a score on 11 carries.

Peyton Rainford scored three touchdowns for W-W, rushing nine times for 43 yards and a score and also making two touchdown catches, totaling 14 yards. Moshe Richmond added 66 yards on seven carries and snagged four receptions for 86 yards.

Colin Hughes made five catches for 28 yards and scored a touchdown.

No individual statistics were available for the Cavaliers, who drop to 2-5.

The Warbirds will travel to face undefeated Parkston, who is ranked No. 1 in Class 9AA, on Friday.

Ipswich 42, Hitchcock-Tulare 8
TULARE – The Ipswich Tigers moved to 4-2 with a 42-8 victory over the Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots Friday in Tulare.

The Tigers rolled up 319 yards rushing to push to victory. Max Kulesa led Ipswich with 114 yards on 12 carries while scoring three rushing touchdowns. Kulesa also completed 4 of 8 passes for 45 yards.

Kyle Hettich ran for 107 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. He also scored a touchdown on a 78-yard kickoff return. Shay Knust rolled up 72 yards rushing on seven carries.

Kulesa and Rasmus Loken each had 11 tackles to lead the Ipswich defense.

Payton Chasing Hawk led the Patriot defense with 15 tackles.

The Patriots (3-3) will host Faulkton in Tulare Friday.
