Eighth-grade
Hurons eighth-grade girls basketball team earned a pair of wins against Mitchell on Tuesday.

Jayla Schley had 16 points to lead the Tigers to a 34-20 win in the A-game.

Ramsey Rozell also reached double figures with 12 points.

Arian Pfitzer and Tally Hins added four and two points, respectively.

Huron claimed a 10-7 victory in the B-game.

Maddy Metzger had six points for the Tigers, while Jesse Mattke added four points.

Seventh-grade
HURON The Huron seventh-grade girls basketball teams dropped both games Monday afternoon against Aberdeen Central at Huron Middle School gym, and came up short in two games Tuesday at Mitchell.

In the A game, Aberdeen came out with a 43-27 win. Huron was led by Lylli Hofers 25-point outburst.

The B game was claimed by the Golden Eagles, 35-12, as Taelyn Larson scored eight points for the Tigers.

On Tuesday, Hofer scored all of the Tiger points in a 46-7 loss to the Mitchell Kernels, while the B team fell 26-2, with Nadzilelli Octavio-Flores scoring Hurons lone bucket.

Huron returns to action on Tuesday, when the Tigers host Watertown at Huron Middle School, with a 4 p.m. tip.
