Huron wrestlers finish third at River City Rumble

CHAMBERLAIN Three Huron wrestlers reached the finals during the River City Rumble on Saturday.

The Tigers finished third in the event with 126 points. OGorman had 171.5 to emerge with the team title, while Chamberlain was second at 169.

Rounding out the top five in the 10-team event were Sisseton at 119 and Mitchell at 113.5.

Moses Gross claimed the lone individual championship for Huron at 150 pounds. He had three pins in the event, including one against Holden Hight of OGorman at the 2:52 mark of the championship match to improve to 12-0.

Also reaching championship matches Saturday for the Tigers were Carter Nelson at 113 and TJ Liene at 165.

Finishing third for Huron were Brady Meyer at 126, Teagan Lien at 144 and Ryan Florey at 175. Ben Cardona at 190 was fourth.

Huron will travel to face Yankton on Tuesday.

Girls
The Huron girls finished fourth in the River City Rumble on Saturday.

Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon won the 13-team event with 160.5 points. Douglas/Rapid City Christian/New Underwood was second at 123, while Mitchell was third at 78.5

The Tigers had 73 to claim the fourth spot, while Chamberlain was fifth at 63.5.
Chalie Sah won a championship for Huron at 107.

Finishing third for the Tigers were Mya K Shee at 100, Snow Wah at 107 and Say Glay at 132.

Sep Jade Lyric Paw Gay at 100, Reva McGaugh at 114 and Camilla Von Eye at 120 were fourth.

Huron will travel to face Yankton on Tuesday.
