To the Huron Community,
Wow!! What talented young people we have in the Huron School District!!
Last Saturday, I attended “Hadestown Teen Edition” put on by the High School Drama Department. It was absolutely amazing! From the moment I sat down in the high school auditorium, I was in awe! Every aspect of the production was so professional and well done – the sound system, the lights, the stage crew, the costumes, the various directors, the pit band, the cast, and all who worked so hard to put this on, you nailed it! You put on one of the best school productions I have ever seen. Everyone played their parts with precision and so much feeling! The music was awesome; your dictation was right on as I could understand every word you spoke or sang. The entire show was so very well done, and I thank you for all the work you did and your dedication and willingness to make it happen.
Then, tonight I attended the HMS/HHS Band Concert and again, wow! The bands were great and I am so happy I went. From the sixth-grade band through the high school bands, your musical talent was shining bright! Thank you to the directors and students for sharing your talent with the community.
Thanks to the Huron School District for being so supportive of the Fine Arts. Thanks also to the parents who encourage and allow their students to participate. Music is such an important part of life and these past few days my heart has been filled with joy listening to the music presented by our Huron students. Fern Marie Mattke
