To the editor:
I would like to thank Ben Chase for the excellent coverage of music events and opportunities in the Huron area. His column, From the Mound, in Saturday’s paper was excellent. I hope every school board member, school superintendent, and family with school-age children read it.
Music is such an important part of all our lives, whether we participate or are just listeners. Children deserve to have the opportunity to participate in music in our local schools to cultivate their God-given talents. These talents will be with them all their lives.
Again, thank you to Mr. Chase for putting the spotlight on music these past few weeks. I really appreciate it, and I am sure many others do also.
