Weinreis announces bid for re-election to City Commission

HURON Public Safety Commissioner Drew Weinreis is proud to announce his campaign for re-election to the Huron City Commission for a second term. Over the past four years, Weinreis has dedicated himself to serving the City of Huron with integrity, transparency and being a commissioner for all citizens of Huron.

Weinreis is the Vice President of Member Services for Dakotaland Federal Credit Union and is very active in the Huron community. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Center for Independence, a Chamber Ambassador, and has previously served on many other organizations over the years.

Weinreis spent his first 2 years as the Public Works Commissioner which includes the Street department, Library, and Engineering and the last two years as Public Safety Commissioner overseeing the Police department, Fire department, and Building and Code enforcement.

Weinreis has worked hard to build strong relationships with city staff and to focus on efficiency and collaboration in the departments he manages.

I am honored to serve the people of Huron and am dedicated to building on the progress weve made together, said Weinreis. As your commissioner, I will continue to work tirelessly to create a safer, stronger, and more vibrant community for everyone.

One City Commission seat is on the ballot for the April 8 election.
